Welcome to our seminary group. This is an English-speaking group, since we have members from all Nordic countries.
Last year we started a little on planning this year’s subjects in our group. Please contact us, if you want to prepare and discuss other subjects as well
The subjects for this year is:
Weddings – especially hymns and prayers
In our talks about same-sex-weddings.
At least 2 weeks before the conference we send some of the best prayers and hymns t to the group. We will especially think of hymns and prayers that can be used in marriages no matter if the couple is of same or different sex. As we do not all understand each other’s language, we might include an English translation.
Funeral liturgies- hymns and prayers
– here we will also send examples (if possible also in English). We will talk about the different liturgies, hymns and prayers, but also the participation of lay persons.There was also a wish to discuss related liturgies, as for example the liturgy, which is known in some countries, when the deceased is carried from home/hospice/hospital to the chapel or church. In Danish it is called “udsyngning” - “to sing out” (someone from one place to another).
Liturgies and creation
- how do think of nature in our theology and our liturgies?
- how is our relationship with creation expressed in our liturgies – the liturgies of pilgrimage may be useful here. And maybe also Animal Liturgy.
Authorization of our Text Books in the Service etc. What role does authorization play? Is there place for creativity etc. within our rituals and liturgies?
